Regular Season Round 13: Chiba Jets - Toyota Alvark 95-59

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Toyota Alvark (13-2) on the court of second ranked Chiba Jets on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Chiba Jets 95-59. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Chiba Jets dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Toyota Alvark's 38. It was a great shooting night for Chiba Jets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Toyota Alvark's players. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) fired 20 points and 6 assists for the winners. The former international guard Fumio Nishimura (177-86) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. Five Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and international Yudai Baba (193-95) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets (10-5) keep a position of league leader, which they share with Toshiba BT and Ryukyu GK. Toyota Alvark at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Chiba Jets is looking forward to face league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toyota Alvark will play against Hokkaido L. and is hoping to win this game.
