Regular Season Round 10: Baerum Basket - Tromso 84-53

The game in Bekkestua supposed to be also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Tromso (5-6) played at the court of eighth ranked Baerum Basket (5-6). Baerum Basket smashed Tromso 84-53. It looked good early as Tromso took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Baerum Basket had a 23-13 second period charge getting the lead and Tromso was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 53-84. Baerum Basket dominated on the defensive end, holding Tromso to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Tromso's 24. Baerum Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Tromso's players. Canadian guard Keith Omoerah (194-92) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and guard Stian Mjos (183-89) supported him with 20 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Even a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds by forward Anders Solem (196-92) did not help to save the game for Tromso. Aron Finstad (188-98) added 18 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Baerum Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Tromso. Baerum Basket's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kongsberg at home and it may be quite challenging game. Tromso will play against the league's leader Asker Aliens and hope to win that game.
