Very important is a road loss of second ranked Toyama Grouses (6-9) against sixth ranked Yokohama BC (4-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Toyama Grouses were defeated by Yokohama BC in a tough game in Yokohama 78-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toyama Grouses. Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-87, college: Connecticut) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward William McDonald (206-79, college: Grambling St.) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Yokohama BC's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American Drew Viney (204-88, college: Loyola Mary) produced 21 points and 4 assists and forward Naoki Uto (188-91) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yokohama BC moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Shimane SM and Nishinomiya S. Loser Toyama Grouses keep the second position with nine games lost. Yokohama BC will face league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Toyama Grouses will play at home against Toshiba Thunders and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
