No shocking result in a game in Vantaa where sixth ranked PeU-Basket (4-3) outleveled 11th ranked PuHu Juniorit (1-6) 101-72 on Sunday. The game without a history. PeU-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. PeU-Basket shot 25 for 43 from the free-throw line, while PuHu Juniorit only scored six points from the stripe. PeU-Basket forced 19 PuHu Juniorit turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by PuHu Juniorit's players. PuHu Juniorit was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Jussi Savolainen (186-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Canadian forward Kashrell Lawrence (188, college: Dalhousie) helped adding 18 points and 11 rebounds. Five PeU-Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side Tidiane Bah responded with 15 points and Alvar Pemberton scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. PeU-Basket moved-up to fifth place in Division. Loser PuHu Juniorit keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. PeU-Basket will face higher ranked Karkkila (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PuHu Juniorit will play against MuKi (#4) in Helsinki and hope to win that game.
