Regular Season Round 7: HyPo - MuKi 65-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked MuKi's (6-1) road victory over 5th ranked HyPo (3-4) 80-65 on Sunday. The game without a history. MuKi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for point guard Joonas Timonen (188-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Calvin Ward-III (188, college: Missouri Valley) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American guard DVon Campbell (185-92, college: Campbellsville) responded with 19 points and 9 assists and forward Eemil Kivi (194-95) scored 19 points and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. MuKi maintains fourth place in Division with 6-1 record. Loser HyPo dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. MuKi will face PuHu Juniorit (#11) in Vantaa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. HyPo will play on the road against JyWe (#8) in Jyvaskyla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
