Regular Season Round 7: Sichuan BW - Bayi R. 113-100

Blue Whales can celebrate finally their first win this season after six consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Bayi Rockets (0-7) 113-100 on Sunday. Blue Whales shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Da Meng (196-82) helped adding 27 points and 4 assists. At the losing side international guard Lei Meng (193-95) responded with 25 points and 6 assists and the former international center ZhongHao Xu (212-90) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blue Whales (1-6) left bottom position moving up to seventeenth place, which they share with Tianjin GL and Qingdao E. It was Bayi Rockets' seventh loss in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Blue Whales will meet at home league's leader Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bayi Rockets will play against Xinjiang Flying Tige (#7) in Urumqi and hope to get finally their first victory.
