Everything went according to plan when third ranked Pescara (5-3) won against at home 15th ranked Perugia (2-6) 69-53 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was guard Ennio Leonzio (191-94) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Andrea Capitanelli (208-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Joseph Mobio (199-97) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and Umberto Meschini (188-94) added 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pescara moved-up to second place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Perugia dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. Pescara will face Campli (#4) on the road in the next round. Perugia will play against Teramo (#5) and hope to win that game.
