There was an upset when higher ranked Lugo (3-5) was edged on the road by fourteenth ranked Desio (2-6) 85-82 on Sunday. Desio looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Lugo's players. The best player for the winners was naturalized Dominican guard Daniel Perez (185-97, agency: Interperformances) who scored 28 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Carlo Fumagalli (188-96) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Matteo Seravalli (184-91) produced 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Giacomo Filippini (204-91) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Desio moved-up to thirteenth place in B, which they share with Palermo GB and Reggio Emilia. Newly promoted Lugo keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Desio will face higher ranked Tessilform Bernareggio (#11) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
