B League D2 top team - Akita Happinets (14-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (2-13) 66-60. They outrebounded Iwate Big Bulls 39-22 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Akita Happinets' coach Josep Claros allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Jalen McGaughy (208, college: Dillard) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Noriyuki Sugasawa (192-87) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls.
