Very expected game when 15th ranked Isernia (1-7) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Roma S.Azzurra (4-3) 64-46 on Sunday. Roma S.Azzurra outrebounded Isernia 40-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Cameroonian forward Philippe Bayehe (204-99) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian Juan-Manuel Caceres (200-84, agency: Interperformances) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Roma S.Azzurra's coach Germano D'Arcangeli used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Ferdinando Smorra (185-88) produced 9 points and 6 assists and point guard Andrea Murolo (179-96) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. Roma S.Azzurra moved-up to sixth place in B. Loser Isernia keeps the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Roma S.Azzurra will face higher ranked Valmontone (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
