Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ameghino (3-4) against fifth ranked Union SF (3-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Ameghino was defeated by Union SF in a tough game in Santa Fe 86-94. Union SF made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Ameghino helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Haitian-American forward James Cambronne (201-91, college: St.Michael's) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Andres Mariani (188-87) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Cambronne is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Union SF's coach Daniel Beltramo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Juan-Luis Abeiro (196-88) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Matias Cuello (190-91) added 18 points respectively for the guests. Five Union SF and four Ameghino players scored in double figures. Union SF moved-up to third place, which they share with Parque Sur. Newly promoted Ameghino dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
