Regular Season Round 7: Raholan Pyrkiva - Bisons Loimaa 53-81

1st Division top team - Loimaan Korikonkarit (6-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Raholan Pyrkiva (1-6) in Tampere 81-53. The game without a history. Loimaan Korikonkarit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Loimaan Korikonkarit outrebounded Raholan Pyrkiva 41-30 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Tommi Rasi (184-98) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Josh Caldwell (203, college: William Penn) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Loimaan Korikonkarit players scored in double figures. Guard Lauri Tiainen (193-90) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Gambian center Mbye Bittaye (198-89) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Raholan Pyrkiva. Newly promoted Loimaan Korikonkarit maintains first place in Division with 6-1 record. Raholan Pyrkiva at the other side keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. Loimaan Korikonkarit's next round opponent will be Aanekosken Huima (#6) in Aanekoski which should be theoretically another easy game. Raholan Pyrkiva will play on the road against Aalto-Basket (#10) in Espoo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
