The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Toyota Alvark's (13-2) road victory over their biggest opponent Chiba Jets (10-5) 77-67 on Sunday. American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) fired 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International Yudai Baba (193-95) chipped in 7 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) produced 42 points (!!!) and American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark maintains first place with 13-2 record which they share with defeated Chiba Jets. Loser Chiba Jets still keep top position with five games lost. Toyota Alvark will face Hokkaido L. (#5) in Saporro in the next round. Chiba Jets will play on the road against the league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
