Regular Season Round 8: Salerno - Roma Luiss 77-55

Undefeated Roma Luiss (7-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fourth ranked Salerno on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Salerno 77-55. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Salerno outrebounded Roma Luiss 42-26 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was power forward Paolo Paci (204-90) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Center Riccardo Bartolozzi (201-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Five Salerno players scored in double figures. Center Eugenio Beretta (208-96) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Cristian Di-Fonzo (194-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 10 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Salerno (6-2) moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Lecco. Roma Luiss at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with Piacenza. Salerno is looking forward to face Patti (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Roma Luiss' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Roma Roma Tiber.
