Regular Season Round 12: Mitsubishi K. - JX-Eneos S. 50-85

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nagoya. Top-ranked JX-Eneos S. faced 4th ranked Mitsubishi K.. Guests from Kashiwa (12-0) smashed host Mitsubishi K. (8-4) 85-50. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. JX-Eneos S. outrebounded Mitsubishi K. 57-29 including a 40-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when JX-Eneos S. made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. International forward Yuki Miyazawa (181-93, college: Queens, NY) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. JX-Eneos S.'s coach Kiyomi Sato felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) who recorded 16 points and the former international forward Chika Sakuragi (179-91) added 15 points and 8 steals respectively. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-0 record. Mitsubishi K. at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Toyota B SR. JX-Eneos S. are looking forward to face Toyota B SR (#6) in Aichi in the next round where they are favorite.
