Regular Season Round 13: Hokkaido L. - Hitachi SR 67-77

Another exciting game was played in Saporro between fifth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers and 4th placed Hokkaido L. where Hitachi Sunrockers (9-6) beat Hokkaido L. (8-7) on the road 77-67. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Hitachi Sunrockers players scored in double figures. American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hokkaido L.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hitachi Sunrockers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. Hokkaido L. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Shiga L-Stars. Hitachi Sunrockers will play against Shimane Magic (#5) at home in the next round. Hokkaido L. will play against the league's leader Toyota Alvark in Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
