Regular Season Round 16: Hiroshima D. - Ehime OV 90-73

The most important game in the last round took place in Hiroshima between second ranked Orange Vikings (11-4) and fourth ranked Dragonflies (7-8) on Monday night. Orange Vikings were defeated by Dragonflies on the road 90-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Orange Vikings. American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. The other American import guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Dragonflies players scored in double figures. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragonflies maintains fourth position with 7-8 record. Orange Vikings at the other side keep the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Fukushima. Dragonflies are looking forward to face Aomori Watts (#5) on the road in the next round. Orange Vikings will play against Yamagata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
