Regular Season Round 6: Hapoel T-A - Galil Gilboa 86-88

The most exciting game of round 6 in the Winner League took place in Tel-Aviv. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3-3) to seventh ranked Galil Gilboa (3-3) 88-86 in the game for the fifth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Hapoel Tel-Aviv cut a 13-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. Galil Gilboa forced 23 Hapoel Tel-Aviv turnovers. It was a good game for American point guard JCovan Brown (188-90, college: Texas, agency: 3Eye) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. American point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) replied with 17 points and 4 assists and international Rafi Menco (200-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Galil Gilboa moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Maccabi Rishon. Galil Gilboa is looking forward to face Hapoel Eilat (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Maccabi Haifa (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
