Regular Season Round 13: Hokkaido L. - Hitachi SR 60-66

An interesting game was played in Saporro where Hitachi Sunrockers (#5) beat host Hokkaido L. (#4) 66-60 on Tuesday evening. Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) chipped in 7 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Sekino Kohei (183-94) responded with 16 points and 4 steals and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Hitachi Sunrockers. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. Hokkaido L. lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Shiga L-Stars. Hitachi Sunrockers will meet at home Shimane Magic (#5) in the next round. Hokkaido L. will play against the league's leader Toyota Alvark in Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
