An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hiroshima. Second ranked Orange Vikings faced 4th ranked Dragonflies. Guests from Matsuyama (11-4) smashed host Dragonflies (7-8) 103-78. Orange Vikings dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Dragonflies' 42. They outrebounded Dragonflies 49-33 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Orange Vikings players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. American guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Terrence Drisdom (196-92, college: Cal Poly Pomona) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Dragonflies. Dragonflies' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Orange Vikings maintains second position with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Cyberdyne IR, which they share with Fukushima. Dragonflies at the other side keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Orange Vikings will play against Yamagata (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Dragonflies will play against Aomori Watts and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
