Second ranked Cangrejeros blasted bottom-ranked Atleticos (0-20) in Caracas 98-67. Atleticos is still unable to win any game. Cangrejeros dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Atleticos' 36. They outrebounded Atleticos 34-22 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Edgar Martinez who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Anthony Perez (206-93, college: Mississippi) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. Grendy Correa replied with 23 points and Leunan Diaz added 15 points in the effort for Atleticos. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Cangrejeros (14-6) keep a position of league leader. Atleticos at the other side still closes the standings. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
