Correcaminos (1-1) recorded a loss in Colon. Hosts were edged by Toros (1-1) 93-91. The former international point guard Daniel Munoz (175-84) notched 38 points (!!!), 9 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and naturalized American Antonio Bumpus (192-89, college: Cumberlands) supported him with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Toros' coach Humberto Rapon allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 22 points and 4 assists by naturalized American point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) did not help to save the game for Correcaminos. Naturalized American forward Tyler Gaskins (193-92, college: St.Peter's) added 22 points for the hosts. Toros will play against Halcones (#6) in Panama City in the next round. Correcaminos will play at home against Panteras (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
