Regular Season Round 8: Guangzhou LL - Jiangsu TX MK 115-96

Everything could happen in Guangzhou at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Long-Lions and 13th ranked Monkey Kings had identical 4-3 record. This time Long-Lions used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Jiangsu 115-96 on Tuesday night. Long-Lions made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kyle Fogg (190-90, college: Arizona) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) who added 21 points and 18 rebounds during the contest. Four Long-Lions players scored in double figures. American forward JJ Hickson (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Iranian forward Mohammad-Samad Nikkhah-Bahrami (199-83) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Long-Lions (5-3) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Monkey Kings dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Long-Lions will meet higher ranked Golden Stars (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Monkey Kings will play against Guandong Tigers (#4) in Dongguan and hope to secure a win.
