Quite upsetting was Halcones' home defeat in a game versus Caballos 74-67. The best player for the winners was the former international Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: S.Mississippi) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized American point guard CJ Rodriguez (188, college: S.Nazarene) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Caballos players scored in double figures. Swingman Abid Oses (197-95, college: Antelope Valley CC) produced 18 points and naturalized American point guard Bradley Turner (183-89, college: Clayton St.) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Caballos will meet at home Aguilas (#4) in the next round. Halcones will play against Toros in David and hope to win that game.
