Regular Season Round 12: Zilina - Nova Ves 77-76

A very close game took place in Zilina between Zilina and Nova Ves. Ninth ranked Zilina (4-8) got a very close home victory over 10th ranked Nova Ves (2-10). Zilina managed to escape with a 1-point win 77-76 on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Brandon Conley (201-93, college: ORU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import point guard Walter Wright (178, college: Montana) who added 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Zilina's coach Maros Moravcik used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin forward Vladimir Bulatovic (196-92) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and Canadian guard Ryan Bennett (193, college: Brock) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Zilina and five Nova Ves players scored in double figures. Zilina moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Handlova. Nova Ves lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Zilina will meet league's second-placed Levice on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Nova Ves will play against Kosice (#3) and hope to secure a win.
