Regular Season Round 10: Bashkimi - Rahoveci 112-54

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Rahoveci (6-4) against fourth ranked Bashkimi (6-3) on Wednesday night. Visiting Rahoveci was crushed by Bashkimi in Prizren 112-54. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Bashkimi dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Rahoveci's 32. Bashkimi forced 26 Rahoveci turnovers and outrebounded them 49-24 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Rahoveci's players. American forward Jamir Hanner (203-91, college: Keiser) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international forward Samir Zekiqi (202-95) chipped in 30 points. Four Bashkimi players scored in double figures. American guard Junious Prowell (, college: S.Crescent Tech) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and Valon Bunjaku (198-98) added 9 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bashkimi moved-up to second place, which they share with Ylli. Rahoveci at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Bashkimi will meet at home league's second-placed Xhebrailat in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rahoveci will play against Peja and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
