The most important game of round 2 took place in Panama City where Panteras beat Aguilas (1-1) 61-53 on Thursday night. 28 personal fouls committed by Aguilas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. British V.Islands center Lester Prosper (208-88, college: Old Westbury, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Alejandro Grant (199-93) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Manuel Guevara (186-81) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Jonathan King (198-90, college: Abil.Christian) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 9 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aguilas will play next round against Caballos trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Panteras will try to continue on its current victory against Correcaminos in Colon.
