Regular Season Round 4: Paulistano - Minas 93-86

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Minas (2-1) against tenth ranked Paulistano (2-2) on Thursday night. Visiting Minas was defeated by Paulistano in a tough game in Sao Paulo 86-93. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Minas. Paulistano players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Bahamas forward David Nesbitt (200-91, college: St.Thomas, FL) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-6 shooting from the field) and American-Peruvian point guard Kyle Fuller (185-92, college: Vanderbilt) who added 22 points and 5 assists during the contest. Paulistano's coach Gustavo Conti used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard Jefferson Campos (191-91) responded with 28 points and American guard Evan Roquemore (190-92, college: Santa Clara) scored 12 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Paulistano moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Franca and L.Sorocaba. Minas at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. Paulistano will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Minas will play at home against Caxias do Sul (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
