Regular Season Round 9: Shanghai S. - Bayi R. 87-72

Bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to tenth ranked Sharks (6-3) 87-72. American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) stepped up and scored 54 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners and Zhang Max chipped in 5 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. The best for the losing side was the former international center ZhongHao Xu (212-90) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and guard Zuming Zhang (205-95) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sharks moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Bayi Rockets at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Sharks will play against Sturgeons (#14) in Jinjiang in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bayi Rockets will play on the road against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#8) in Hangzhou and hope to get finally their first victory.
