Regular Season Round 11: Libertadores - Toros 68-93

Date: November 17, 2017
The game with biggest result difference took place in Queretaro. Local Libertadores (2-7) were outscored by tenth ranked Toros (4-7) 93-68 on Friday night. Toros looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Jerime Anderson (187-89, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists. His fellow American import guard Roberto Nelson (190-91, college: Oregon St.) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Toros players scored in double figures. Dominican-Puerto Rican forward Jonathan Rodriguez (196-87, college: Campbell) responded with 28 points and 5 assists and American power forward Gerard DeVaughn (206-88, college: Stillman) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toros moved-up to eighth place. Newly promoted Libertadores stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
