Regular Season Round 8: Aisin AW - Otsuka A. 59-82

Rather predictable result in Aichi where third ranked Otsuka A. (4-2) smashed 7th ranked Aisin AW (1-3) 82-59 on Saturday. They outrebounded Aisin AW 48-37 including 33 on the defensive glass. Otsuka A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Ray Raymond (203-84, college: Wisconsin) who added 22 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Otsuka A.'s coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Point guard Kei Kato (172-93) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Ikishima Ikejima (188-94) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Otsuka A. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader Tokyo HT. Aisin AW lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with three games lost. Otsuka A.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Excel..
