Regular Season Round 14: Nishinomiya S. - Tochigi Brex 79-91

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Tochigi Brex (7-10) beat one of their biggest challengers Nishinomiya S. (4-13) in Hyogo 91-79 on Saturday. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). International guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) replied with 18 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Nishinomiya S.Four Tochigi Brex and five Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with San-en and Toyama Grouses. Nishinomiya S. lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face San-en NeoPhoenix (#3) in Hamamatsu in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nishinomiya S. will play on the road against Osaka Evessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
