Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-5) was rolled over at home by second ranked Saitama Broncos (5-1) 104-74 on Saturday. Saitama Broncos dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Cinq R.'s 32. They outrebounded Tokyo Cinq R. 53-32 including a 42-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saitama Broncos looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tokyo Cinq R.'s players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 20 rebounds and 6 assists and Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-87, college: Cincinnati) who added 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Drew Martin (203-94, college: Concordia, OR) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Saitama Broncos maintains second position with 5-1 record behind leader Tokyo HT. Tokyo Cinq R. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with five games lost. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round. Tokyo Cinq R. will play on the road against Kagoshima (#6) in Renova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
