Regular Season Round 8: Almeria - Adareva 61-66

There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Adareva (2-6) defeated on the road 11th ranked Almeria (2-6) 66-61 on Saturday. Almeria was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Almeria 45-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Eva Serra (183-83) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and Chilean point guard Sendy Basaez (170-96) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Concepcion Sanchez responded with 19 points and power forward Alicia Gonzalez (187-86) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Adareva moved-up to twelfth place in Group B, which they share with defeated Almeria. Adareva will face league's leader Gran Canaria in Las Palmas in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
