Regular Season Round 9: Myrtia - Moron 69-52

The game between third ranked Myrtia (7-2) and 6th ranked Moron (5-4) in Murcia ended with biggest points difference. Myrtia beat guests from Morón de la Frontera 69-52. The game was mostly controlled by Myrtia. Moron was better in fourth quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Moron 48-28 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Italian-Argentinian swingman Juan-Ignacio Jasen (196-85) who scored 15 points. American guard Joey Flannery (196, college: Babson, agency: Duran International) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Jesus Chagoyen (202-78) who recorded 6 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Guinean forward Cheick-Sekou Conde (203-92) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Myrtia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They used an opportunity after Albacete lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Moron at the other side dropped to the seventh place with four games lost. Myrtia's next round opponent will be Plasencia (#13) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Moron will play against the league's leader Albacete (#1) and hope to win that game.
