Regular Season Round 9: Moncalieri - Valsesia 62-76

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Moncalieri (1-8) lost at home to tenth ranked Valsesia (5-4) 76-62 on Saturday. Valsesia outrebounded Moncalieri 47-36 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Dario Farabegoli (197-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Nicolo Gatti (196-91) contributed with 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Valsesia players scored in double figures. Power forward Fabio Delvecchio (194-94) answered with 15 points and 4 blocks and naturalized Nigerian power forward Emmanuel Enihe (198-98) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Moncalieri. Valsesia moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Olginate. Loser Moncalieri keeps the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Valsesia will face Cecina (#10) at home in the next round. Moncalieri will play against Alba (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
