Regular Season Round 10: Moycullen - Belfast Star 75-80

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Belfast Star (4-5) beat 6th ranked Moycullen (5-4) in Galway 80-75 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for international guard Aidan Quinn (185-95, college: Mayville St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. Clement Kulinicz contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Brandon McGuire (193, college: Moravian) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard James Loughnane (175-89) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Moycullen. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Belfast Star maintains ninth position with 4-5 record. Loser Moycullen keeps the sixth place with four games lost. Belfast Star will face higher ranked Tralee (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
