Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (11-6) defeated 6th ranked Shimane Magic (4-13) in Tokyo 72-62 on Saturday. Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Yuki Mitsuhara (198-89) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Hitachi Sunrockers players scored in double figures. American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Kimitake Sato (186-84) added 14 points in the effort for Shimane Magic. Shimane Magic's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hitachi Sunrockers have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Toshiba BT. Shimane Magic lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourth position with 13 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will face Toshiba Thunders (#3) in Kanagawa in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Shimane Magic will play at home against Hokkaido L. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
