Regular Season Round 9: Omegna - Piombino 82-57

Serie B top team - Omegna (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Piombino (5-4) 82-57. Omegna made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Omegna outrebounded Piombino 37-21 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Piombino's players. The best player for the winners was point guard Alexander Simoncelli (188-86, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 21 points and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Omegna maintains first place in B with 9-0 record, which they share with Cento. Piombino at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Omegna's next round opponent will be Super Flavor M. (#3) in Milano, which may be the game of the day. Piombino will play at home against LTC Sangiorg. and hope to win that game.
