Regular Season Round 13: Nova Ves - Kosice 68-98

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Kosice (9-4) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Nova Ves (2-11) 98-68. Serbian power forward Svetozar Stamenkovic (206-90) stepped up and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Croatian forward Igor Maric (196-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds. Five Kosice players scored in double figures. Kosice's coach Miljan Curovic felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Swiss forward Michel-Ofik Nzege (203-92, college: E.Carolina) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds and Matej Majercak (183-99) scored 16 points. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Kosice. They maintain third place with 9-4 record having just one point less than leader Inter Bratislava. Nova Ves lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Kosice will play against league's second-placed Levice at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play against Karlovka (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
