Very important is a home loss of Toros (1-2) against Halcones (1-2) on Saturday night. Host Toros were defeated by Halcones in David 105-92. Halcones shot 61.0 percent from the field. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Toros were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for naturalized American point guard Bradley Turner (183-89, college: Clayton St.) who led his team to a victory with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Jamaal Levy (206-83, college: Wake Forest) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. The former international point guard Daniel Munoz (175-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and naturalized American Antonio Bumpus (192-89, college: Cumberlands) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Toros. Four Halcones and five Toros players scored in double figures. Toros' coach Humberto Rapon rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Halcones' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Panama City Panteras.
