There was no surprise when 16th ranked Volpino (1-8) was edged at home by fifth ranked Crema (6-3) 75-73 on Saturday. Crema made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Giovanni Poggi (201-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Andrea Dagnello (189-91) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Five Crema players scored in double figures. Forward Kevin Cusenza (202-93) answered with 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Edoardo Caversazio (199-96) added 8 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Volpino. Crema moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Vicenza. Volpino lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Crema will face Rimini (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Volpino will play against Faenza (#7) and hope to win that game.
