Regular Season Round 7: 36ers - Kings 108-93

Date: November 18, 2017
There was no surprise in Findon where 8th ranked Kings (2-9) were defeated by fifth ranked Adelaide 36ers (5-5) 108-93. 27 personal fouls committed by Kings helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 6 assists. The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (210-88, college: Pepperdine) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Perry Ellis (203-93, college: Kansas) came up with 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and center Isaac Humphries (216-98, college: Kentucky) added 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for Kings in the defeat. Five Adelaide 36ers and four Kings players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Adelaide 36ers moved-up to third place, which they share with United. Kings lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Adelaide 36ers' next round opponent will be Bullets (#7) in Brisbane. Kings will play on the road against Cairns Taipans and hope to win that game.
