Regular Season Round 10: Gimle Pride - Ullern 34-57

An exciting game was played in Bergen. First ranked Ullern faced 4th ranked Gimle Pride. Guests from Oslo (8-1) smashed host Gimle Pride (3-3) 57-34. The game without a history. Ullern led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Gimle Pride to just 6 points in first quarter and to 13 points in first half. Ullern held Gimle Pride to an opponent 19.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 30.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Ullern forced 20 Gimle Pride turnovers and outrebounded them 54-34 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Tori Halvorsen (183-88, college: American) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Mia Henriksen (180-84) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Sigrid Hardie (164-94) replied with 9 points and 7 rebounds and forward Ulrikke Bentsen (182-99) added 9 points in the effort for Gimle Pride. Ullern have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-1 record. Gimle Pride at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Ullern will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gimle Pride will play on the road against Storm Ungdom (#7) in Tromso and hopes to get back on the winning track.
