Regular Season Round 8: Keflavik - KR 85-102

The most important game in the last round took place in Keflavik between third ranked Keflavik (5-3) and seventh ranked KR (5-3) on Sunday night. Keflavik was defeated by KR at home 102-85. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. KR outrebounded Keflavik 43-25 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jalen Jenkins (201-94, college: George Mason) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Darri Hilmarsson (190-87) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. American forward Stanley Robinson (206-88, college: Connecticut) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American guard Reggie Dupree (180-87, college: Faulkner) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Keflavik. KR is looking forward to face league's leader Tindastoll in Sauoarkrokur in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Keflavik will play on the road against Njardvik and is hoping to win this game.
