Regular Season Round 8: Bembibre - AE Sedis 85-79

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked AE Sedis (3-5) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Socinsa Bembibre (3-5) 85-79 on Sunday. AE Sedis trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 25-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-85 at the end of the game. Socinsa Bembibre made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brittany Brown (173-95, college: Florida St., agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Montenegrin forward Jovana Pasic (180-92) who added 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Socinsa Bembibre players scored in double figures. American forward Caitlyn Ramirez (188-94, college: Troy) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Mehryn Kraker (183, college: Green Bay, agency: LBM Management) scored 19 points. AE Sedis' coach Joan Carles Pie let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Socinsa Bembibre moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated AE Sedis. Socinsa Bembibre will meet higher ranked Sant Adria (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AE Sedis will play against ASEFA Estudiantes and hope to secure a win.
