Regular Season Round 8: Toyoda Gosei - Kagoshima 84-64

The game in Aichi supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Kagoshima (2-4) played at the court of sixth ranked Toyoda Gosei (3-3). Toyoda Gosei did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 84-64 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Point guard Eiji Sumihiro (171-89) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Toyoda Gosei's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Yasudo Yamada (179-98) produced 21 points and point guard Keisuke Matsuzaki (181-92) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Toyoda Gosei moved-up to fourth place. Loser Kagoshima dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Toyoda Gosei will meet league's leader Tokyo HT on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kagoshima will play against Tokyo Cinq R. (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
