There was no surprise in Santiago de Comp where 8th ranked CB Canarias (4-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Blusens Monbus (7-2) 75-64. The game without a history. Blusens Monbus led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Radovic (208-91, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Lithuanian forward Eimantas Bendzius (204-90) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American center Mike Tobey (213-94, college: Virginia) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Polish swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-93) added 15 points in the effort for CB Canarias. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blusens Monbus have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. CB Canarias lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Blusens Monbus will play against Baskonia (#7) in Vitoria in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. CB Canarias will play at home against Real Betis and hopes to get back on the winning track.
