Regular Season Round 8: Alvik Basket - Udominate 96-79

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Udominate (6-1) in Stockholm on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Alvik Basket (5-2) 96-79. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Udominate. Alvik Basket made 22-of-23 free shots (95.7 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Alvik Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. International guard Klara Lundquist (173-99) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Croatian forward Ana-Marija Begic (190-94) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for Udominate. Alvik Basket maintains third position with 5-2 record having four points less than leader Lulea Basket. Udominate at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. Alvik Basket are looking forward to face bottom-ranked KFUM Uppsala (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Udominate will play against the league's leader Lulea Basket (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
