Bottom-ranked Oviedo (0-8) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to fourth ranked Barca CBS (6-2) 90-70 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Barca CBS led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Barca CBS forced 19 Oviedo turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Laura Johnson (182-91, college: Sioux Falls) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Lucia Pablos (172-85, college: Northeastern) who added 12 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Barca CBS players scored in double figures. Tania Soto responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and Andrea Sierra (174-96) scored 17 points. Barca CBS have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with Lima-Horta and Aros Patatas. Loser Oviedo still closes the standings with eight games lost. Barca CBS will face league's leader Real Celta Vigo at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Oviedo will play against Cortegada (#6) in Vilagarcia Arousa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
